Silver color
Has anybody seen the Sunlight Silver in person? There don't seem to be any good pictures of the Sunlight silver color and from that, I'm a bit mixed on getting that color.
The Laguna Seca pics from Rotarynew.com are off color. The Car Point magazine pics from UK are off color. You can tell they are way too bright and washed out.
For those who have seen it in person, how does that silver compare to other silvers on other cars? I think it looks like the 6th gen Accord silver (98-2002), which is sickly pale.. but I've never seen a good picture yet of the RX-8 in silver.
I'm hoping Mazda will send us a color card before we have to make our final decisions... it's quite tough to make.

Sunlight Silver
Have seen it on Mazda 6 and would have to say that in the flesh it shows the lines of the car better than the Titanium!
I had my dealer put Titanium and Silver 6's, identical cars side by side and I preferred silver.
The Titanium looks great in the photos but is much darker.
Hope this helps

PS: The RX8's lines are much prettier than the 6.

hnmmm... I went to the Mazda6 website and the colors don't have the same name.
it said "Silver Glacier Metallic".... the Titanium and Silver are both crossover colors? You guys are sure on this? I'll head down to the dealer during my lunch hour.
The yellow appears to be a different hue also.... just from the website, the Mazda 6 yellow looks much richer with more red in it's base.

Mazda6 comes in Glacier Silver -- which is darker than Sunlight Silver and Steel Gray -- which is much darker than the Titanium.
There is a reason most everyone who has seen it in person is raving about the Titanium -- it is an awesome color with deep tones that really accentuates the lines and nuances of the vehicle. In person, it is not as dark as the pics appear and it has alot of metallic spark when the light hits it. :D
Sunlight Silver is offered on most of the Madza product line. Titanium only on the RX-8 -- may have been on a special edition Miata previously? Also may be on 2004 Mazdaspeed Protege (had one in that color at NAIAS).

My concern over the Titanium is that it would be dark and become very hot in the sun (I live in SoCal) and heat makes me sweat ALOT. From the pictures Titanium does look dark.... very reminiscent of the titanium/bronze Porches from the 80's.
thanks, I'll let you guys know what I think of the sunlight silver during lunch.
