Simple Question about Rear Strut Bar
Hi, Iam trying to get a Rear strut bar, but there are two types of strut bar.
One is this.
http://www.finishlineperformance.com...key=RX08MS1021
This is a Shock Tower Brace.
This goes upper, middle of trunk.
Another one is this.
http://www.boomplustoys.net/autoexe_rx8.shtml
This is a Floor Cross bar.
This goes bottom of trunk.
However, I am trying to JIC Carbon one, which is this
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...oducts_id/2687
1) Does JIC Carbon strut bar go middle of trunk, like first Shock Tower Brace?
Or, does it go bottom of trunk, like Floor Cross bar?
2) Anyone got JIC Carbon one? If you do, can I see the pictures?

I just got my JIC AL front and rear strut bars in the mail...if you have a spare tire kit, the rear strut bar will fit into that exact location. For the JIC photo, they used the wrong one. The rear bar only has two bolt locations and should slide right into place. And if you have a spare tire kit, most of the work should already be done.
As for the floor bar, I'm not sure how well that would work in comparison. The weakest flex point should be at the top of the shock tower where the JIC bridges the gap - like in the front. But keeping the trunk space would be nice.

I want to get both, floor cross bar and shock tower bar.
But, if JIC rear one is floor cross bar, then I will get JIC and shock tower bar.
If JIC rear one is shock tower bar, then I will get JIC and floor cross bar.
That's what Im thinking now.

Oh, okay. Yeah, the JIC rear is simply a shock tower bar. It's mounting is basically identical to the front, it just has two mounting points instead of three. That was my point above.
If you got the JIC then you could also use the floor bar in conjunction.
