Small but Important Item Missing in the RX-8

Usually work out 3 to 5 times weekly but usually after work. This week though I have been going to the gym before work and I wear a suit to work. However, I found out this morning that there isn't a good place to hang a suit and dress shirt on hangers in the RX-8. Most cars have a little hook for this purpose but alas it is missing in the RX-8.

So what to do about items on hangers...

Where do you hang your suit (if you ever wear one that is)...

I wear a suit to work quite a bit and I couldn't believe there's no hanger hook. I usually lay it in the trunk.

I've found that the easiest solution is to just not work out or wear suits. :D

LoL... I just lie my tux flat over the rear seats! I'll have to try the baby seat tether though...

I have a suit bag for taveling that I use when I need to carry a suit or tux. It folds in half and I ussually just put it on the seat. Works fine for me.

I definately noticed the absence of anyplace to hang things too... C'mon Mazda... what were you thinking?

Maybe Mazda is doing you a favor by not putting a hanger in the car. Let me 'splain what I mean.

Some years ago I played tennis after work and had my suit hanging visibly on a hanger in the car. When I finished playing and returned to my car, the vent window had been popped and the suit gone. Point being, if it's in sight, it may be tempting to some scumbag with a screw driver. Of course, that was a VW which was pretty easy to break into.

Tried that... However, it blocks my immediate right view. There are no OSBs in the back either.

The tether idea sounds like a go.

This will be more problemsome in winter, since I don't like wearing my coats while driving.

this has been my solution of choice as of late.

i did notice that shortly after buying the car. It is most likely due to the fact that there is not really much of a place on the rear door to put a hanger. It is so short, your suit, or coat or whatever would bunch up badly on the seat. When I hav had to, I lay it in the trunk, since it is just as clean as the backseat.

I know a Dr. who commutes in his Elise. He simply folds his jacket up and puts it on the passenger seat, tote bag with notes etc on the passenger floor. Of course he tends to have relaxed fabric jackets (linen, tweed) that isn't going to show a crease as noticeable as wool.

Well, Nissan figured that since all the really cool guys were buying RX-8's, that the only guys they had left to sell 350z's to were the dorky effeminate men. As we know, these men often wear short shorts, hence the convenient hangers...

Giving up the hook is a small price to pay to have my RX-8...
