could be normal as our cars drop oil on the apex seals. So it burns oil.

Sounds like you do not redline it much.

It could be a CAT.

It could be a few things.

Best thing to do is to go to a local club meet. Look in the regional threads.

They will help you.

you are still in the break in period, I believe the manual states the correct break in procedure...why do people not read the manual before they use their car?

Ofcourse I read it, it says not to use it over 7000rpm for extended periods , I used it very slowly for first 200kms then I just passed the redline before shifting up for few times a day to prevent carbon smtg, I also dont exceed 3000rpm until it is warm . anyway I just talked the dealer and he told me it sounds like oil burning and don't mind if engine doesn't warn me, it is also under warranty...

They all smell for the first few hundred miles. The metals and rubber are going through multiple heat cycles - maturing if you will, and smell a little off until they volitolize all the chemicals that are going to come off - like a new carpet outgassing. Call the dealer to register your concern, but I think you're OK. Should clear up by 1000 M.

If the smells are very strong (like oil is burning a lot) then take it in - a little oil smell is normal. Frankly my car smells like its burning a little oil every time I get out of it - worse when I run it hard. That's because it does burn a little.

That is false.

You're probably smelling a 'new car' smell.

Pretty much all new cars smell gross for the first 1000 miles from the new part of the engine being used for the first time.
