Angry so i curbed pretty bad,,see pics

On the 4th i slid sideways in to and over a curb. Demolished 1 rim n tire messin up the other ones, tore a whole in the front clip, bent the sway arm maybe axle, ome under carrieage stuff...blaw blaw.
Anyway i bought the car cash 2 years ago and i have geico full insurance on it. Its not he first time i have messed my baby up. Usually i just pay the decuctable and get it fixed at which ever shop the insurance company says. I have maid some new friends though lately that are in the repair buisiness though. I heard that since i own the car.if i get like thre estimates..insurance has to write me a check, and i can get it fixed where evr i want. i see some adantagesto this. Like for the cost of the front factory front clip, i could get a cooler aftermarket one..orealmost a whole body kit....if these ebay prices are true..?between 500 700unpainted. Or like getting light wieght aluminum sway arm or whatever. I have a boy who own a teh shop here to point e in the right directions and stuff. Anyway i was wondering if this is legal and if any one else has done this.
Thanks
B
P.s. im gonnatry to post some pics to...must be the worst curbing i ever saw!!

sorry bout ur car man.

those rims are ugly anyway.

if you get a kit off ebay, expect to pay a **** load to have it installed properly (unless you have really low standards)

ALso i see nowhere in here about the ease of italation of peoples body kits. m sure they differ greatly...but what oe fit best?loaded..i know

You need an Impala or Caprice for those rims.

Just get fixed like you've done the other times . I mean it might work, but what if , it dose not , and you end up with nothing. Get the insurance to do their jobs.

Then get some rims.

k - it gave me a headache to read, but I think the question(s)? hidden in that mess are:

1. Can you use any repair shop?
Yes. In fact, the insurance company can recommend a shop, but it is illegal for them to require you use a certain shop.

2. Is it legal to let the insurance company pay for aftermarket parts to replace the damaged stuff?
Also Yes. The insurance company pays the cost of replacing the damaged parts w/OEM parts. As long as the body shop you choose is ok with it, this can (and has) been done. Chances are you'll have to pay some extra $$$ to cover the difference between an OEM nose and the aftermarket nose you want to put on your 8.

wow.. that wasn't an accident. That was a mercy killing to those rims.

Find out how much the insurance will cover, negotiate to get even more.. then take that money and work a deal with a shop.

Thanks for everyones input and answers and flaming of the rims..
Yea reaper "just get fixed like you've done the other times . I mean it might work, but what if , it dose not , and you end up with nothing. Get the insurance to do their jobs." Thats what im tryin to do.get the insurance company to do their jobs! Thats what i PAY for. I came across a site called Allstate or Allsnake.....very informitive. You can even get them to give money for the less amount your car is wort after an accident. Guess you just have to
quote

And if they start bsing you remind them of THE FAIR CLAIMS ACT....they cant argue with that.
ANYWAY...
ill post some new pics...after new nose and RIMS and all

I have been through the insurance mass repair shops...usually with shotty work...i would rather have people i know and parts i want.

As i remember last time...th oem nose was like 450 plus paint....seems compareable to some of the better jdm noses.

Could some one please recomend some reputable rx8 aftermarket internet shops(the search button is so vast....wanna see bout price differences compared to the oem quote prices for some parts.....

Also anyone who has a good" knock off buddy front....how much time and work extra would you say you (was) put in......in ther words...lookng for cheaper nose you dont hae to cut out sidemarker wholes for n stuff ay recomendations...more agressive!

what else is there besides fiberglass and eurothane?....plastic? Ive had a few body kits....seems they ALL break pretty easy...nothin is rubbrmade....Yea i guess eurothane is easier to install. , and doesnt crck/break/that easy....hmm lets face it though...the accident i had would have broken any body kit ...original as well///so?
Zaino huh? lol yea that stuff rocks(epensive as it..dont think it will help);(....Anyway
Any help finding a cheap(er) buddy club style front would be appreciated.
