Welcome brudah. Most likely the dealership will be too expensive. For general maintenace (fluids, brakes, filters etc.) I think any reliable mom&pop garage should suffice. Just follow your owner's manual schedule. Should be enuff to maintain warranty requirements.

I would search for a local rotary expert for anything major b4 the dealer. But then again you are our friendly neighbors in the north. For some reason I think Canadian's are less likely to rip one another off...eh

BTW you might want to keep riding your bike. Fuel effiecency not like a Honda. This badboy also eats gas by design. I too usually run on 87 w/91 once a month to help keep things cleaner.

And if there's one upgrade I'd get first, Racing Beat muffler. Sounds smooth and deep and not too loud. I too have an '04. Shouldn't void your warranty (except the new muffler most likely will not be covered of course but RB makes good product).

Damn I still remember what it was like on my first test drive. Came in to buy a miata, walked out with a RX-8 GT at MSRP. Zoom, zoom, zoom.

I know you weren't knocking me. I just wasn't sure if you understood what I meant by my posting. The problem with the internet is that it is difficult to understand the tone of any writing.

And I've had my 8 for about 10 months now. My join date to this site is pretty much the exact date I purchased my car. Couldn't be happier with it.

^ no worries - it sounded liike you were saying the engine benefited from redline bouncing and who knows it probably does! But the psychological benefits from planting your right foot in first gear and not shifting until you hear the beep have been scientifically proven to have the combined effects of Prozac, Wellbutrin, Zoloft and Paxil, combined with a healthy dose of Viagra taken with a naked Scarlett Johannson sitting on your lap and wiggling. In other words, pure bliss.
