Don't have much of a choice; whatever the dealer has which should be the most recent one "N" as some call it.

It's not a big deal. Just to make sure, on your 1st oil change, ask for a reflash to make sure you have the latest.

DON'T DEMAND ANYTHING!!!!!
Not a good idea if you want the dealer to cooperate with you in the future.

If the car ain't broke, just drive it and enjoy it. Flashes are there to fix problems, if you don't have a problem there is no benefit in having a flash.

i would get the N flash. keeps you from flooding and helps with cold starts and shut offs.

yeah, don't demand, request. Usually dealerships are pretty iffy in giving away free service unless its warrented or if there's a valid reason to get the job done. I had to lie that I flooded my car to get a flash done. Sigh I hate that I have to pull another arm to get this flash done. Haven't read any of the other threads yet, but this flash doesn't seem much different than my current m flash.

It really doesn't seem different from M. Both M and N seem to be 0.5 to 1.0 MPG worse than L.

I bought an '04 a few month ago and that was the dealer's first information given to me: the status of the ECM updates, ie. which ones were done. All of mine are current. I believe this may come from Mazda corporate??? Anyway, I didn't care what model year, I just wanted an RX8.
