Low maintenance costs. That's the reason I bought this car. I guess checking the oil every 10,000 miles should be sufficient.

yea, that's what the manual says, but I always listen to the dealer since they are the most knowledgeable.

Yeah right - "dealers" and "knowledgeable" don't exactly go together. 50% of the dealers don't even know what an M flash is.

Thats right they now better! The manual is only a reference and what they tell you to do is written in stone!

Afterall they are the ones that posted the sticker then they would be ultimately responsible for any subsequent damages!

heres what to do

scan it for us please, then put it back on your window. run the car for 50,000 miles without oil change. when the engine dies (im guessing around 15-20k after there is no oil), take it to the dealer and be like, "wtf??" when the dealer determines there is no oil, point to the sticker and claim "warranty".

oh, and please let us all know how THAT turns out.

May be a mis-print where they actually meant 5000 miles.

Incredible. You should notify MAZDA NA of that one. I know they have a strong interest in dealer customer satisfaction. Some of the horror stories on this forum about dealer service screw-ups scare the **** out of me. Where do you take it when you can't trust the dealer?

It might say 50k miles, but I 'll bet it still says a date about 90 days out for the next change.
