Spark Plug Change
Driving back from a long trip between Christmas and New Years I saw a few misfires on my 2009 R3 and knew it was time to do a spark plug and wire change (no coils since I have BHR set). Looking at my records I didn't realize it had been 4.5 years and 20K miles (I'm just shy of 90K) since I replaced them. I spent a couple hours today, with it finally hitting 40 degrees in Minnesota, with my 14 year old changing them out and had a blast doing it. It's amazing how much better it idles and not the bit of power loss at 8000 RPM. My son keeps asking me how much I would sell it to him for. Today he asked if I would for $50,000. Not a chance.

I'll sell both of mine to him for $50k.

I didn't change my plugs/wires until 100k on my 2011 sport that I've owned since new. Never saw/felt any signs of issues with the engine or ignition, but thought that I should finally do it. Replaced plugs wires and coils at the same time, and didn't feel any difference at all afterwards. Possibly my commute was good for the health of my engine. 50 miles each way with the bulk of that country back roads.
