Spark Plugs Dilemma
#26
I've run the cheapy rx7 copper ( $6 ) and plat plugs ( $7 ) in my car since the first change. I swapped them out every 10K miles or so. Had zero problems with my engine till I hit a pig at 104K miles. :P
If you do your own maintenance, use the rx7 plugs, they are cheaper and work just as well the iridiums are a ripoff.

nope, lost my lower air dam ( and aside from that you couldn't tell anything was wrong with my car looking at it ). It went through the condenser, radiator, apparently cracked the front housing enough to leak coolant. took out the cat, the gas tank supports and sending unit and ripped the muffler up on the way out the back.
Basically everything under the car but the tranny got replaced. Took 5 months to get it put back together. Insurance paid for it all, even a new clutch and pressure plate, engine mounts and all kinds of other stuff, AND I got a 3yr 36K warranty on the new motor from mazda.
