no there is no package level called a spec in the states. are you looking at the web tune factory or something?

 

In america the 6speed rx8 is the same thing as the rx8 type-s in japan
There is no a-spec in america... but the a-spec is a more highly tuned version of the type-s


also in america the four speed automatic (WITH sport package) is the same thing as the rx8 type-E in japan

Oh almost forgot but I think in america the a-spec is called the mazdaspeed rx8... I know some american show reviewed one but they've never been shipped to dealers.

the japanese market is different from the US market. we dont have A-Specs in the US.

I don't know what mods are in that 8, but keep in mind that not every driver is equal in skill.

 

Gran Turismo 3 was called A Spec! I think that was the video game where the 8 made its debut.
