Squeeky gauge cluster

Is there a permanent fix for this rather than pushing it down after hitting a few bumps.

Is it on turns? I have a creaking noise when I make turns from what sounds like the steering column prevalant in the mornings. I did a search and people said it was the seat? I don't think it is the seat. I will bring it up with the dealer next week in my list:

1. Brake pad tsb
2. Creaky steering column on turns
3. Filmy residue inside head light cover
4. Part of the appearance package needs a little epoxy

I'm into details. Hopefully I get the stick miata rental.

Could this have to do with the airbag recall? It was making some noises and thus was recalled. Might want to look into it if you haven't already.

I have this problem as well. Looks like I've got a project for the weekend, since it looks pretty easy.

I recall somebody had posted an easier fix than taking the cluster out. He stuck some foam or cloth between the steering wheel (at its highest postion) and the cluster, which made the the rattle go away. But if you don't like the steering wheel in its highest position then I guess it won't work.
