stability system
does anybody know what models come with the stablity system? changes though the years? I assume that the 2005 model is much better than the 2004 because of the 32 bit computer? Is the 2009 model makeing more horsepower because of the exhaust?or tuning changes? what is the best a 2008 40th annuiversary model or the '09 r3?

Definitely get ESC.
It's a bigger deal, by far, when it comes to accident avoidance and safety than anti-lock brakes, IMO.
I will never again buy any vehicle without stability control if I can avoid it. It's one of the best innovations in automotive safety since seatbelts.

I agree with rglbegl, search man.

DSC was an option. It may have been part of some of the packages, but on my '06 it was a separately listed item. So an '06 Sport may or may not have had it.
What's the deal with the "32 bit computer"?

DSC was available for the sport via the performance package.
Switching from a 16-bit computer to a 32-bit computer wouldn't mean anything as far as the car's performance is concerned. If that's what happened, it was probably due to using what was available at the time.
The '09 does not have more horsepower than previous models. It's actually a hair slower (due to more weight, I assume). The biggest improvements on the '09 relate to reliability.

thanks for all the reply's guys. i live in wisconsin so I think the stability control is a must. I like the original body style best so that's why I would think the 40th anniversary model may be a plus as it looks like it has the suspension of the R3 but not the new look. Anybody have an opinion as to if the 16x will show up for 2010?
