Starting Trouble

Heres whats going on... Brought the whip to Mazda on Saturday to get my lug nuts removed (I misplaced the key) When the employee started the car it started normal and then died. He started it again and said "your intake and throttle body need to be cleaned" I drove around most of the day and had troubles each time I started it. Now its sitting outside and doesnt start. Intake looked clean but I have no experience with throttle body's. A DSM guy came out and looked at it checked spark plugs and a few other things and said it was all fine. He again doesnt know much about cleaning throttle body's. Is there some underlying issue that I should know about. The car has about 100,000 on it and I have never had a problem.

Could be the coils, fuel etc. But cleaning the Throttle Body isn't hard, and basically free, so worth a shot (esp with your miles). If you don't want to mess with it, I would image any mechanic in the area will do it.

Basically involves removing air intake, spraying Throttle body cleaner (easy), or you can remove the TB and get a good cleaning job inside and out.

I bet there is a DIY on this forum for it, my net is slow from being deployed, so I don't wanna search for it.

If you didn't take out the air filter already.
