stink bomb exhaust??

is it just me or does anyone else's 8's exhaust smells like a stink bomb at start up? I mean the smell changes to a more "normal" exhaust smell after warm up but for the first 10 mins in the garage it smells like fart or methane coming from the exhaust!

LOL :p
hmm... I'm wondering if it's an issue to take up with service... could it mean something's wrong with the fuel mixture at warm up temps?

First try, warming it up in the garage for 30 minutes while placing your nose directly behind the left exhuast pipe, not the right the results will not be right.

Actaully the same issues are found on the Mazda6 4cyl and 6cyl, it is a sulfur smell, it is a recall issue on them..Or service bulletin. Definetly get it checked out....

Are you serious about the service bulletin? cause I can't tell from its close proximity to your other joke :p
and yea the garage door's opened
I had a puncture (by a piece of BONE of all things!) in one of my tire's side wall and I have to wait a week for the new tire to come in. Meanwhile I have to spend every morning pumping the tire back up.

The bulletin was true, I tried to find the site and prove it, but no luck. Maybe tomorrow i can find it while at work.
Nothing better to do. Hard to sell cars when it is -15F. In chicago, even though the rx8 is tons of fun to drive in the snow.

Mine has a really bad sulphur smell if I start it up cold in the morning, go back in the house for a few minutes to let it warm up, and then come back out to get in it. Stinks pretty bad......even with the garage door open.
