Stock Wheel Lock

I had to take off my wheels this weekend to paint my calipers, and on the last wheel my Wheel Lock got stripped and I couldn't get the wheel off. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks

send an email to mcgard, they are the ones that manufacture it. you might need to send them a pic so you can order the correct one.

When you first got your car, there should be a package with it that gives ya a re-order card and lock number.

The dealer would have a set of keys too. You could drive it up there and have them take it off for you.

I took off the locks and am running with five normal lugs. I prefer it this way.

Really? I ordered a spare key right after I got my car. Sent in the card and a check.

Got the key, along with a bill for another dollar to cover a price increase.

That's when I realized that the cars come with all regular lug nuts, and the locks are added by the dealer. Next time I'm there I'm going to ask for the four lug nuts they took off. Betcha they've got a bucket full somewhere.

Yep, exactly. Let alone if some bozo ruins your lock nut with an impact wrench and you notice it only later on when you want to remove your wheel but can't because of a busted lock nut (or key).
They are utterly useless.

If you REALLY want to steal a set of rims, the locks will NOT stop you. With a hammer, you can get a t-bar onto it just like a regular lug. Can do it almost as fast as using the key.

Basic vibe I'm feeling is not to park anywhere that the chances of someone stealing your wheels is greater than normal... not much else you can do but worry.

I see. I don't have that problem. I've taken the wheels off once in 3 years.

same could be said for all kinds of locks

if one wants to steal ur ****, yes it still could be done no matter what.

Locks/Protections are here to slow down the process, even by 1 minute its still better than nothing.
