Streetbike exhaust on RX8??? lol

Anyone ever thought of toying with something liket his? I seen a video on Youtube of a s2000 with a busa pipe and it sounded nuts, and I know the renesis would sound a helluva lot different probably, but just curious as to WHAT it would sound like, and if there would be any loss in power?

Or if anyone has any info on this subject, post here!

what's the size of the pipe? what's the size of stock? which one is smaller? that should answer your question on which is better.

Ahh, not exactly sure how streetbike exhaust is constructed, but basically your saying it would sound like an obnoxious coffeecan on the back then? lol

Was just an idea floating in my head at work, really bored... Was thinking a long the lines as a stock R1 (two of them) exhaust or something, thought maybe it would give off a different tone then other exhaust systems for the 8. I have one laying in my garage, but only just one lol, and it has a pretty large diameter pipe, maybe 2.5" or so.

Figured maybe the stock R1 exhaust, with stock rx8 cats, wouldnt be too loud, but maybe I was wrong.

honestly, i feel bad for all the hate on veilside. just because their rx8 kit isnt my cup of coffee doesnt mean their rx7 kits arent really nice.

stop the hate. :/

why are we hating on someone who makes aftermarket parts for the rx8? its not like its that big of a market anyway. hell, we are so lucky we have veilside. the more kit companies, the better.

rotor shaped exhaust would look pretty nice, im not even going to lie. it would have to be on a kitted car to pull it off though.

I still wanna hear what it sounds like lol, arent the "race midpipes & exhaust systems" louder? Since they are catless, and have almost straight thru exhaust? Compared to stock cats and R1 pipes??? I think I'm going to find a way to test that R1 pipe on it, just to see... lol.

funny,

teamrx8 made a whole light weight exhaust. and used supertrap mufflers to kill the noise..

always wondered what it sounded like..
