Stupid Question

i have probly one of the simplest questions that is going to sound really retarded. Is there really any major difference between the 04 models and the 05 ones. I am still sifting through and i am trying to decide which to get, an 04 will save me about 2-4k depending and i just need to know if there is anything about an 04 in generalthat would cause me not to get it or if they added something to the 05's that is a i have to pay more for it....

You haven't seen anything on the forum regarding this in all your 15 previous posts?

They are basically the same thing, some small reliability differences.

A later build 04 is basically the same as an 05.

This is true. My 2004 is (according to the VIN) one of last hundred built before the 2005. The only difference I found is the washer tank is transparent for the 2005. (and the VIN has a "5" instead of a "4"). BUt you should verify that it is a late 2004....

Off-topic [sorry, Zoom...]: DarkBrew, how do you like your RE050A Pole Position?

They're pretty good but I think they're getting louder as they wear down. Not near as bad as the RE040s. They seem to have a bit more cold weather grip than the 040s as well but tend to let go in cold (<8C) and wet conditions in an unpredictable way.
In warm weather they stick well dry or wet.
The million dollar question... would I buy them again... not sure yet.
