I have 91,000km on my 2005 8. I track it regularily so I keep on top of maintenance very religiously. Lately my car was down on power a lot at high RPM so I checked the plugs and coils and both looked rough.

I replaced all the plugs and coils on Sunday and my car was back to normal, but has a little bit of a high RPM misfire still (from 6000 up). Nothing major hardly noticeable at all.

The car ran fine Sunday and Monday. Then yesterday is started to make a little bit of a sucking noise when accelerating hard over 4000rpm. Today it is still making the noise and seems down on power quite a bit.

I accelerated hard from a corner and had no power, and the car let out a puff of black grey smoke.

Any ideas what's wrong??

 

I would check the AIr filter make sure there is no restriction - sounds like your ride is trying to breath but cant.
