Suggestion on catback

I'm thinking of getting a catback for my 2007 RX8. (Manual)

I looked over Greddy, Exotic, HKS, and other ones that are around 600~700 dollars.

Which one does perform the best??

Any suggestions??

Thank you

Get the one you like the sound of. None of them will make much of a difference in terms of power.

Its more about Sound. All the catbacks will yield almost the same results. Search youtube and figure out which one you like in your price range.

^+1...in terms of performance they all do just about the same thing, add sound...i guess you can say that the HKS hi power is more performance just on the fact that its the straightest one out there...but dont expect much gains from any exhaust, just a different tone to your exhaust

i prefer Racing Beat products and from the various videos of RX-8's with various exhaust setups, i much prefer RB's unit. having owned 30 RX-7's over 11 years and using many of RB's products, i can tell you that they are a top notch company with stellar products!

I dont know about performance, but I have heard 3 of the 4 major ones so far, and at this point the magnaflow has it hands down in my opinion. Nice and deep, not too droning on the highway, but not as quiet as stock. Never raspy at any rpm or throttle. I've driven the car with this exhaust on it for over a week now. Of course, I dont think it is worth the $900-some dollars they retail for.

Of course I have not heard the racing beat, which usually mimics these characteristics as well.

The Greddy was not too bad, but had a little rasp to it and droned significantly. I drove the car with the Greddy exhaust for a few days.

The HKS is just too damned loud all the way around, and quite raspy. OF course I have only heard this on a couple of other cars and not ones I have driven.

I love my GReddy SP2 but only because I have a turbo. It would be too loud otherwise.
