If you pay cash, they earn less, dealerships hate to see ppl pay cash. When you finance it, they also get interest rate.

I don't think this guy will lie to me, as he is a business associate for an e-commerce project we are working on. I will take your guy's advice though and check around other dealerships- I appreciate the feedback, makes me feel a lot better.
Lets just say i hope you are all right, because I do want to wait a few months and not have to feel rushed.

finance now to get the rebates, then burn em in 4mos & pay it off. $1500 in rebates when I bought mine a few weeks ago. ('05 though)
DEFINITELY pit at least 2 dealers against each other, you'll get the best price & the added bonus of telling one or more sleazy MF's where to stick their "not making anymore" BS. right up their assy

sorry, but I had to add another sleezy salesman comment (and yes, this came from the Sales Manager)....
I had already agreed to a deal in principal. Showed up and laid down my VISA platinum for a very substantial down payment (I wanted the frequent flyer miles.....sue me....
)) Sales Manager told me he couldn't accept a VISA payment for a car cause he couldn't be sure he would receive the funds. He starts with "well, you know how hard it is to deal with credit card companies"
I didn't hear the rest of his speech as he was staring at my *** walking out the front door while he continued to pontificate........)

i heard there was a fire in japan and it damaged the factory where some of the rx8 parts come from and they put all 06's on hold till they can fix the factory.
