I actually prefer the coney dogs from Sonic Burger...you know the ones with the chili cheese...

Wow, I was off this thread for quite some time, but caught up on some reading. I never in my life have seen someone get owned and owned and more owned, dig himself a deeper hole, yet still kept coming back for more. Turbodiesel: You really buried yourself there, but it was a good effort nonetheless, even though you could provide no real insight. YOu did make it entertaining though.
From my point of view, I think the RX8 is a better overall fun/daily driver from a totally outside objective point of view, which is why car magazines choose it, They aren't going to deny a roomy, sexy, practical sports coupe over a raw two seater pure performance roadster. The RX8 just can't touch the S2K stock vs stock if you are talking just performance, but that shoulnd't have RX8 owners upset or envious. Just build your car up to be that, and you're fine. You won't like the S2K if you want fancy interior gadgets, and more exotic looks. The RX8 should be appealing to more of the masses, but surprisingly enough this supposed " outdated" S2K is selling just as many vehicles as the RX8 right now. That's ashame. I guess the reliability worries and gas mileage have turned people off to an already unpopular rotary engine. It's a toss up really, and there are things I miss about my RX8. That was, ultimately my slightly better choice vs S2K, which is why I initially chose it back in 2004 over the S2K. Unfortunately, I had problems with my RX8, and lost trust in this vehicle long term, so that sealed my fate as an S2K owner. This S2K, like it or not, is an absolute raw blast to drive, and can get outstanding MPG if you stay out of vtec. I have yet to get under 21mpg, even in city with occasional vtec blasts. I pulled off 28mpg at 70-75mph highway crusing on a trip I took this summer, and I just feel that this car is gonna run a very long time without any major problems. Ultimately to me and my personal preferences, that's what makes it a better car, but in the end what you have are two outstanding vehicles built for distinct personalities.

So listen you *****'n *****, what of what I said was wrong? Why don't you actually add something to the debate rather than your useless commentary.

qoute from viking:"so that sealed my fate as an S2K owner. This S2K, like it or not, is an absolute raw blast to drive, and can get outstanding MPG if you stay out of vtec. "
1. s2k fanboi on 8 forum
2. looks like ive flamed alot of fanbois.
3. a pure raw sports car enthusiast could care less about mpg, but you just displaced yourself from this caliber of enthusiasts
they call themselves enthusiasts more like rotary envy to me, hell, who wouldn't if they had an unbalanced, vibrating, POS "4-banger"
How do you like that smell viking?

Enthusiasts usually don't care about mpg but when your car gets the same mpg as an 8 cylinder and struggles to make 200 whp that's a shame. My freakin 4.5L V8 in my Cayenne gets better MPG than my 8 did, and it makes 340 bhp with 310 lb-ft of torque. And that's on a 2 and a half ton truck.
what the hell are you trying to argue now fanboy?
Once again you have been
EDIT:
turbodiesel why don't you just bury the hatchet already...this thread should die where its at. Everyone has pretty much agreed that you've done a considerable job at entertaining the forum at your own expense. Don't dig yourself deeper.

1. haha, now even shaolin is speechless and dumbfounded.
2. no intelligent response there.
3. that is because nobody can argue with the fact that a 4 banger is an inherently unbalanced POS

I've already discussed in detail with you on the various methods taken to balance a conventional piston engine vs a rotary.
And you seem speechless about my 2 and a half ton truck making more than twice as much true power and torque than the 8 while achieving better mpg.
Okay smart guy...the elise and exige also have a 4 banger...unbalanced? hardly. Check out the ariel atom:http://www.dancewithshadows.com/auto...atom-honda.asp 4 banger in that one too. In case you haven't noticed...some of the most balanced cars in the world use 4 bangers and piston engines in general. We keep going in circles...You've been owned.
Mods need to close this thread down.

1. back to school for you
2. it is known fact that four banger is most unbalanced design, you are an idiot and just made yourself a fool by disagreeing with this. It also shows you know nothing. Please educate yourself read any book on engine design.
3. Haha, now that shaolin has made a fool he is crying for help from the mods. Looks you you dug yourself the hole.

^^^ hah you're a joke. Explain aforementioned cars then. Explain the STi and EVO both outperforming the 8 with, yes, "4 bangers." You are ludicrous...like I said I have no words to describe your lunacy. You've never read any engine design books or taken any courses...there is no one engine design type that is unbalanced...it's mind boggling at how much BS you come up with.
To help you dig that hole a little deeper. You have a chance now to just quit and let it die...I don't know why you make a bigger fool of yourself.

Ok, well I think this has gone on long enough - time to close this thread. For those of you who've contributed to the argument, please let it stop here and now, and don't carry it forward into other threads.
