I wanted to take a moment to thank rx8club.com. When I make a big purchase I do a LOT of research to make sure it's the best fit for me. Using the comments found in this forum (mostly) and reviews and user opinion from other sites I made the leap and purchased my 8 Friday. Here's why I'm bothering to post:

I purchased the exact 8 I wanted (I've been looking for a blue one with NAV for over 6 months) without ever having driven one and I purchased this eight (used) without ever having seen it. I wired the money to the seller and drove 3.5 hours to pick it up. (Of course I asked all kinds of questions and verified the car's history and such).

I too do tons of research too, and so far it looks like I'm going to buy my 8 when they release the 2006 models. In my mind, the 8 is beating out the Audi TT and 350Z.

 

I've not taken pics yet .. got in 12:30 Saturday .. slept .. showed the car off to people (picked the farthest friends first) and now I have to work for the rest of the weekend

Can't wait to go drive it again! This car is amazing and so smooth.
