Thanks Gray Epperson Mazda of Cleveland, TN!
All,
I'd like everyone to know about my positive experience with Gray Epperson Mazda in Cleveland, TN. Specifically, the service manager Gene and the Mazda tech Hank. I was headed home from a road trip when my 8 started experiencing problems. I knew right away it was the fuel pump going out again. After a short while my 8 finally died on the side of the interstate. Epperson was the nearest dealership so I had her towed there. This is about 3 hours away from home. To make a long story short, Gene & Hank took great care of me. They understood my situation and made taking care of my 8 top priority. They got a new fuel pump overnight-ed and had everything fixed the next day. They even performed a decarb, compression test, and replaced the plugs with no charge to me.
Hank was very knowledgeable about rotaries. We spent a lot of time talking rotaries and he showed me some neat stuff in the shop. I know this had to be annoying since I'm one of those people that spends too much time reading on the internet and doesn't have much hands on experience but he was very patient. He even showed me an intake he had torn apart and explained what I needed to get done if I ever have my engine replaced. It was neat to see the intake in person, dirty, and torn apart instead of in pics and Youtube videos. This 8 had about half as many miles on it as my 8 and I couldn't believe the carbon build up in the intake. I wonder what mine looks like
