Thirteen months ago my lightning yellow 8 arrived. I couldnt have been more happy. I have enjoyed every minute behind the wheel and have enjoyed countless hours reading and learning from all the comments made by my fellow rx8 brothers and sisters on this site. I have had quite a few good laughs too! It is, in my mind the best car made in the 25-35000 price range but, #1 on my wish list has always been a Corvette. I have finally reached the point in my life where it is " now or never ". Yesterday I purchased a 2005 millineum yellow C6. I took a financial beating on my 8 during the trade but the Corvette is really the only luxury item that I have ever wanted so I treated my self to an early christmas present. I just thank God that I am able to afford something like that. I may still troll around the site in the future ( I hope you guys dont mind! ) I am lucky to be able to say that I have owned two world class cars and have been a member of a world class web site!!!!!!!!!!! If they sold the C6 Vette here in Australia, I would probably seriously consider trading in the 8 as well...... that car's sex on wheels!

Sorry to see you leave the rotary fraternity.... but I can understand why.

 

Gary, good luck with the new Vette. Have safe travels and show a little respect to the 8's you encounter on the road by not whipping our butts. Allow us to pull on you slightly in any race. Give us a wink at the end and we'll know you let us win! Give us the thumbs up, and we may erronoeusly beleive we beat you fair and square; and beleive me you won't want to do that .
