Are these good deals? or not....

Well, my search for another 8 continues (previous episode)... What do you guys think are these good deals or not?

2006 GT, asking price $18k
I was going to buy this one today, but someone else bought it this morning before I could get over there

2006 GT, 8k miles, price $20k FIRM (dealer)
2006 GT, 13k miles, price $20k FIRM (private seller)
This seems to me like a bit much for any 2006, even with low miles... what do you guys think?

2007 Sport, 500 miles, dealer willing to sell for $17k
This might not be a bad deal, but not sure if I want to get Sport instead of GT model....

I got my Sport Aug. 29, and I looooooove it, but I do wish I had a GT. I could use the traction control, and I miss a moon roof and would love to have the heated seats. I personally would've paid $20k for a GT without hesitation, but I'm not the most informed or patient buyer. lol

$17k isn't a good deal for an essentially brand new 2007 Sport?

Also, sport model does include traction control, and do you really need heated seats with cloth? I'm kinda on the fence about the sunroof. I mean it is nice but I don't like the reduced headroom......

Compare the wholesale values of of the cars you are considering; that will put them in a better perspective. I'll bet the one with 8K miles is pretty close.

Ok, the dealer with the 07 sport is willing to let it go for $16.5k. I went to check it out today, it's pretty much flawless, with less than 500 miles on it... it's almost a brand new car.

The reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet is the lack of traction control... It was included on the Sport model for 2004-06, but the 07 Sport no longer has it... wtf? I may still buy the car in spite of that, but still mulling it over.

The '07 sport is the base model. You have to have the performance package to get DSC on an '07 sport.

If you really want the GT, then hold off for one. There is not worse feeling in the world (well, probably not, but this is close) than buying something new/expensive and wishing you had gotten something else.

I got my Sport earlier this year....probably the best purchase I could have gotten! I don't need all those extra fancy pants features. Just raw, true blooded RX-8ness.

I have a GT and WISH I had the sport, I hate the leather seats, (04 leather is like cheap plastic) Im tall so headroom is compromised by my sunroof which rattles prefusely when open so I really dont ever use it, and its the heaviest model and my tall heavy *** pushes the car upwards of 3300+ pounds.

Eh, I appreciated the GT when it was my DD, now that its just a weekend toy I really wish I had a sport. thats me though

Okay you guys are starting to talk me into the Sport

I wasn't really focused on any specific model, but at first I was thinking I might try a GT since I previously owned a Sport (2004 MY).

But the more I think about it, the novelty of the GT will probably wear off soon and then I'll just be annoyed with hitting my head on the ceiling and the crappy quality of the leather, and a bunch of electronic gizmos that will break as soon as the car is out of warranty...
