Think Meineke messed up the RX8
So, yesterday I took my RX8 to Meineke to have the oil changed and a fuel system clean out. While there, they changed out the air filter as well. I get in the car and start it, after several attempts which is not like my 8, and the car is spittin and sputtering. They come out and lift the hood but cant find the problem. I found it immediately, the MAF was not plugged in. So I killed the car, plugged it in and it started just fine and idled fine. I start driving home and hit the highway. I have an automatic with the shiftronic. In first gear I punch it and when it hits 7K RPM, the engine hangs there and the car wont shift! It took me letting off the gas to get it to shift into second gear. At that time, the engine light starts flashing, not staying on solid but blinked for like 30 seconds! The car is still doing this in 1st gear and I feel like its also lost some power in 1st gear. It doesnt sick at 7K RPM's every time but still does it and then the engine light starts blinking. Can anyone help me with whats going on? Did the fuel system clean out mess something up?

I do not know the last time the coils and plugs were changed since I just bought it a month ago and it is used. I think the coils and plugs will be done this coming month. I looked and it looks like the plugs are a PITA to change out. I have had no issues with it today, only yesterday after they did the foaming. However today has been no issues and no light.

I wouldn't worry to much about it if it's running fine, I seafoamed my car yesterday (just purchased) and experience almost the same thing (I have a 6-speed so shifting isn't a problem) but the flashing check engine light did come on a few times when I took it for the first drive after. Running great today, not perfect but better than before seafoaming, hoping my new plugs/wired/coils fix the rest.

Flashing CEL is nothing to just brush off... Plugs are not a difficult job. Take off the driverside wheel and move a rubber flap, then they are right there staring you in the face. You only need a deepsocket/sparkplug socket, a long extension and a socket wrench. A wobble bit helps, but isn't necessary.
