My point was that any system that ranks Chevy or Buick over any Japanese brand is suspect. Also, I think they take into account dealer satisfaction which Mazda seems to be pretty poor overall with. I've owned Hondas, (7) Mazdas and Toyotas and to me they're of similar quality. I've also owned GM products and they are not on the same level as Japanese brands regardless of how much progress GM has made.

your information isn't inaccurate. nonetheless, you still came off as being quite full of yourself, and you do so frequently.

Buick is very reliable in almost every survey and the Park Avenue for the past few years has received higher reliability ratings than Camry and Accord. My guess is this has a good deal to do with the fact that the age group that drives these cars is probably the least likely to ever push a car, or actually go over the speed limit for that matter. I don't think they take dealer satisfaction into account, but I believe they do in another survey. With all these surveys there is a pretty large margin for error but it can still give you a basic idea of the quality a car company has to offer.

Like I said earlier, almost all cars today are pretty reliable. I'm sure there are plenty of people driving around with 0 problems in what a survey says to be the least reliable car on the road. On the other hand there are people driving around in the most reliable and have tons of problems. So the surveys can give you a basic idea and warn you of a possible bad purchase, but they aren't fortune tellers.

When I figure out how to convey emotion on the internet sans using little emoticons I'll have a clue about what you mean :D

The biggest thing I would worry about if I were you is the modability and acceleration of the RX-8.
It's too early to completely disregarding the modablity of the RX8. Right now the mod's are pricy and there aint too many but this year has seen ALOT more goodies come out for the 8.

Since you owned a GSX, if it was stock, the 8 will be significantly faster so don't worry about it. Check on the acceleration mag's got, owners got, etc and do a search here to find all the issues owners have had.

I got an 05 and I've had NO issues other than my headliner that will probably get replaced under warranty. But, the mechanical side...I've had no issues and problems here shine like a light but the overall experiance of most owners is VERY positive.

MSN has a car review of it and it was rated by it's owners and last time I checked it was a 9+ out of 10. Read...read...read...and make sure you know everything you can before buying any car.

IkeWRX is a little hard on the 8 at times, but there are certain truths to what he tells you. Just don't take style advice from him...lol (that was a zig for ya Ike...lol)
