Thinking of Purchasing an 8
Hi, this is going to be my first post. I'm currently thinking of getting an 8 but don't know if it's a good car or not (no offense) any technical or any problems this car has that i should know? Is the GT package worth it?

GT is worth if it you like leather and want a sun roof. If you can go without leather, you can opt for the cheaper packages and get the DSC and other features without as much fluff.

I just had my tranny rebuilt, and I think my cat is upchucking all into my exhaust.
I still LOVE this car more than any other i've ever had and I would buy another all over.. You probably wouldnt have these problems now, as I got mine last year.

Dynamic Stability Control. Electronic safety feature along with TCS (Traction Control System). Both can be disabled and both work extemely well for your safety!

Ok i just talked to Huntington Beach Mazda about purchasing a car and here is what we negotiated. A used 2004 11k miles. 6speed tranny with sport, grand touring and some factory 18chrome wheels on. The color is red. They wanted 26999. The price tag was 28999. I wanted it at 25000 even. Since it's late i told them we will continue on this tomorrow. But if i can get it for 25000..is that a good deal or what number is a good deal?

Long beach ran new Rx-8's for 22,900. May not have the exact options you want but gives you an idea of what is out there. This was an ad-car. And yes, you can get the ad cars if you go to the lot the day the ad breaks.

It's ~25,000 for the base 6MT, add 3,400 for the GT and you have a brand new car at 28400.
You'd be giving them a lot of money if you bought it at 27,000.
I'd say stick with 25k if you don't mind a $3k discount, with the addition of 11k miles.

I live in canada and just got a quote from my dealer. He's now charging 50G including tax for the 6 speed manual, sunroof and GPS System + Side Skirts. Interior is leather, its the most expensive model. Is this too much?
