It sure looks pretty bad in the picture. but its not as bad if u look it in person.

The main point is, same people driving, same car, same conditions BUT Toyos will give up and leave *cuts* on their sidewall, while none other brand got this problem.

First sidewall cut was the day I got the tire, no parking, nothing. Just driving normally on the road, some rocks past by, I can tell its really small by the sound, then *phish......* The sidewall popped and the result was 250 bux.

Second time, I dont even know what happen, the sidewall just pop.

Third time my bro was driving, a really small pothole, died.

and notice one thing, all of the sidewall cut came from the *inner sidewall* not the outside. so it has nothing to do with *parking skills/driving skills*

I know the Toyos got great traction. I had them for couple of months and they're pretty good. Its just that I dont like their sidewalls.


You guys can say my driving sucks, but please if you live in NYC long enough you will know what I mean. and remember, the SER is not mine nor is the Quest. My wheel has the best condition (fine, my father's van wheels are near perfect too ...)

Hey guys, I have an '04 AT (yes, I know) and I need to pick up some new tires myself.

I was looking at the Kumho Ecsta ASX. But if that's not a good tire let me know. I live in the NW so I really need something that does all season/wet conditions well, but still would be considered high performance. My wife has me on a budget of $450 for four tires.

Other suggestions?

some people on this site got the Avon Tech M550 A/S and like it, its not expensive.

I have Bridgestone Protenza RE960 A/S Pole Position and I love it.

 

Continental ContiExtremeContact for the price is a pretty badass a/s tire. Have them on my A4 and love them.
