Time to say goodbye..
It's been great all! I love my 8 still, but recently too many problems... I bet I dropped 3 grand in it the last 3 months and only 62,000 miles. I must have more reliability. And dont start flaming... I am a former 7 owner. Traded for a 2006 350z a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to everyone's help and support! This is a super community!
Thank you MazdaManiac, Black Halo Racing, and everyone else that has helped me out over the years.

Be prepared for your front tires to wear out in 20k miles, the engine to overheat, the brakes to wear out fast and lastly... to burn oil.
All known problems with the Z
Good luck

Sounds like every car if it's pushed too hard. Sounds like PEBSAD - Problem Exists Between Seat And Dashboard.

You guys are a total buzzkill. Congrats on the new ride.
AFAIK (which isn't very far), nissans are pretty tough cars. Seems like the more you treat them like crap the longer they last.
You'll never forget the 8 though, I know I won't.

People aren't necessarily "hating" on the 350 but rather the Op's claim to looking for more reilability and chosing the 350 as his selection for that better reliability when it has a lot of it's own problems.
I think people are skim reading what's written and presuming it's "hate" when it's not, everyone is wishing him well.
Like many cars, sometimes you just get a bad one for a fluke or sometimes it's how you drive that results in the problems.

^^ it's 102 degrees in NYC today and I don't have problem you've mention ?
NYC will never get as hot as in Texas but I think 108 just a week ago is hot, and my 8 purrrrs like a kitten. beautiful

Define irony. A bunch of RX8 owners criticizing the reliability of, well... ANYTHING!
Congrats on the new ride man. And FYI, as someone who's actually *owned* a 350Z (2007 Carbon Silver), that thing might as well have been a Civic. All I ever did was routine maintenance and put gas in it. No check oil at every fuel fill. No change coils/plugs/wires every 25k miles. No $2k cat converter replacements... just because. lol No, uhhh, NEW MOTOR every year or so. I could go on and on, but everyone here knows the MYRIAD of problems with the RX8, but... we love them anyway. My son loves his and I'm glad I bought it for him. It's just, some of these guys with their "good luck you're gonna need it" attitude towards another car?

You won't be dissapointed with the Z. I bought an 04 with 50k on it and had zero problems over the 2 yrs I had it. They are very nice cars with good torque. My fun car is now a 93 single turbo supra. (built 2jzgte, 6766 turbo, AEM v2, E85 fuel)
I still miss my RX8 sometimes.
Good luck.

Nissans are great, good luck. I could have saved myself about $20,000.00 if I had bought a 350Z back when I bought my 8 But who wants a reliable car anyway, that's boring
Those wheels are horrible though.
