Yes, 15% in the rear is dark, but it's not really all that bad. Think I have a pic around here somewhere of before and after, I'll try to post it here tomorrow or send it to you via PM so you can get a better look.

There are tons of tint shops around...I live 2 minutes from one, and got it done there. 20% all around isn't too dark. Backing up at night isn't bad either. Know why not? Because 99% of the time I'm backing up I have my foot on the brake. The brake lights help a lot.

Leesha,
While metal tint MAY only effect the lower portion of the AM band where the radio is concerned, it can cause a lot of interference other places as well.. Whether you use a phone or a portable GPS system in your car, you’re going to want the radio waves these devices depend on to be able to pass through the window tint without interference.
To that end, look for a film without metal in it for at least the back window because it is made without metals, it does not interfere with any radio signals like GPS or cell phones. and yes............sometimes the radio signals.
My two cents. Do a search on the net and you will see people have varying opinions, but for the most part, it may not be so much about the radio as other devices.

With my luck, I just tinted the back ones.... I cannot pay $200 ticket everytime I get pulled over...

Here's a shot of before and after that I dug up. Yes, the lighting is different and I tried to find two pictures of roughly the same angle, but not much luck!
15% on the rear and 30% on the sides. I didn't rename the files, so it's putting the after shot first and I'm too lazy to go fix them, but you'll get the idea.

I got an amazing tint for my 8. Darkest legal all the way around, and a visor strip in front. 150 for everything. It looks amazing and makes the car look a lot nicer. It also has a lifetime warranty. Go for it.

Make sure you know the tinting law of your state before you decide how dark to tint your window. I got nailed 3 times in 2 days by cops and the last cop that pulled me over got so **** he said he would come and help me take the tint off! I got so annoy with cops that today I almost lost my temper with him. He ordered me to get back in my car after he saw that I was getting a bit hot. My tint came when I bought the car and even when the window sticker list that it came with the car cops don't care. He wrote me a ticket today after 3 warnings. One cop told me to show the window sticker and I would be OK. Well, it is annoying to keep getting pull over and get nervous everytime you see a cop...I took mine off this afternoon but left the rear window and back window on. It is sad. I love the way my car look with tint but it doesn't worth keep it with all those hassels. MN law said 50% or more is OK. Mine check in at 33%. I am going to drive my car to the police station tomorrow and show him that the tint is off and hope that he will throw away the ticket.

Ok, here are the tint pics.
(This is my favorite new car picture thus far )
I think it looks good. I'm not sure how good the stripe on the front looks, but it is very practical. I drive during sunrise and sunsets, and it is in just the right spot to block out the sun... so practicality outweighs looks... but I think it looks pretty good.
Definitely makes the car look a little sportier, IMO.

Your car looks amazing... I love the visor strip in front.
I think I will do my homework and not have the dealers do the tint. I will find somewhere in Canada... Toronto, Ontario.
Does anyone know where???

30% on the sides, 15% on the back... the front strip is at least 15% maybe more... no legislation on that.
And thank you for the kind words, Leesha .

Funny.........we have the same tint %'s, but it looks darker on a V-red than on a Ti-Gray.

True...........mine is listed somewhere in this thread above. I'm too lazy to put it all in again. And it's 11:30pm on Sunday night with work at 7:00am........ugh!
