Tire pressure sensor on, no horn and alarm system...
Hi, I just purchase a RX 8 2004. I see the tire pressure sensor light is on, but not buzz sound, the wheels and tires are aftermarket 19" , so i think i have to check w the wheel company is it can be install the pressure sensor, but Why i'm not hearing the buzz sound?. Also the Horn is not working?, but the horn is install, and the remote control, bottom for panic (red bottom) dont make noise, when i lock or unlock dosn't make any beeps. . The sensor to calibrate the head lights is On, is easy to replace it? Some ones know how can i wacht dvd's using the dvd nav system?
the sound of the alarm control, horno and buzz of tire pressure sensor is all one conected ( share a fuse ).
Please is some could help me out to resolve these problems, or send me wire diagram so i can check how the systems works.
thnk you

most aftermkt rims do not accomodate the tpms sensor. the beep associated w/tpms is rare - I've had mine flashing since november (winter tires on stock rims) and last week it finally went solid w/the aftermkt wheels that have been on the car since may w/o the tpms sensors. go figure - it took ~3 months for it to register a 'malfunction'. I have heard the tpms "alarm" beep once: last week when it went on solid it gave 3 short beeps to notify me and has not made a sound since.
The alarm system doesn't not make any sounds when armed or disarmed. If you arm it, then hit the button again w/in a few seconds it should sound the horn once.
No idea if the horn is on the same fuse. Honestly, I have no idea if you were asking or just stating that they are all on the same fuse. ??
can't help w/the dvd Q either.
welcome to the club! add location to your profile, and do a search for some of these Qs for more info. I know another member had no horn and posted about it a few months back.

I want to say the horn has its own fuse in the fusebox under the hood. You may want to check that fuse.
I know with my car, the dealer disconnected that fuse to keep the horn from going off. I noticed the horn didn't beep when I armed the car alarm and at the time didn't think much of it. Not until about 1100 miles later while I was driving to Florida and needed to honk at someone did I know for sure something wasn't right.
So definitely check the fuse (in the fusebox and also the manual there should be a diagram that shows which fuse is which).

The DVD player is only programmed to read/play the map DVD. It's not format compatible with movies.
The TPMS sensor only beeps (based on my personal experience) when the air is too low, as in the time I had the flat tire and it was losing air. It beeped shortly after I started up the car, continued flashing, and would periodically beep, telling me that there was not enough air.
Several months later after a bunch of ice and snow the TPMS light would come on and keep flashing at me after driving several miles. No beeps. One of the sensors had gone defective (told probably because it froze and then cracked something inside?) and that was why it was flashing. It was because the receiving couldn't find the signal from it. It only beeps when it senses your air pressure is too low.
Hope this helps.

Hi, i was doing oil change in my car, so then i decide to check my air filter....i ogt surprises when i see oil in between the air box and trottle body...also find more inside the airbox and the air filter ( found very dirty - 23800miles )was w oil too!, so this is normal w this cars or the mechanic who did the oil change before put to much oil in. So, i clean the air flow sensor and throttle body w electronic sensor spray cleaner, i did use trottle body cleaner, because the trottle is electronic and the trottle cleaner takes to long to dry. I'm going to take a long ride, back to work w/ out air cleaner, just for today. tomorrow i'm getting my K&N filter, i dont wanna change for the other air cooling system, because they are to loud. I think if just making the airbox inlet be more down and start from the front bumper will make the same as the other systems. What u think?
