TIRES in the winter

I am a Northeastern-er and winter is getting closer. I just bought my RX8 and I want to know if anyone has any suggestions about what tires I should look at for winter driving instead of my stock beauties. Thanks

im planning on getting some dunlop M3s or M2s havent decided yet, and probably put them on the stock rims, its a better suggestion to put them on 17" rims though. check the canada regional forum, theres some good advice there on tires, and welcome to the club

Do a search in the Tires and Wheels section, and in the Canada regional section, for "winter tire" or "winter wheel". There are a bunch of good threads starting from last fall that discuss specific tires, sizes, and wheels for winter use. Use my forum name in your search criteria if you like to narrow it down...

After doing some reading of prior threads, feel free to ask any questions in the Tires and Wheels section!

Regards,
Gordon

you should get some cheap 17's with some good snow tires on them, driving with the stock rims and tires is not good i tried it a few times even after the first time i did it again anyway even though i shouldn't have.

I've a set of Conti WinterSportContact TS790 that worked great on my wife's Boxster last winter. I now need to find a set of cheap 17" wheels.
