Congrats.
The first time you drive your car take the time to notice how many looks you get from the other drivers around you. I have had more people come up to me in parking lots and ask to see the car and the engine than I have ever had with any other car. Some people will argue about hp and trap times and why doesn't the ion noodleizer work properly, but the 8 is a fun car to drive, can seat four in a pinch, looks great and will cruise all day at 100+. Eventually Mazda will work out all the kinks. Until then enjoy the 95% satisfying ride.

Agreed. Lots of people get caught up in numbers, heck even I from time to time (after reading posts) get a little frustrated. But the fact of the matter is that I loved the car on the test drive and that's what matters. Would I like some extra hmph? Sure, but any time I start to second guess myself I hop in and take a ride to the video store about a mile down the street. That trip only takes me about an hour now. So many side roads to explore.

My second choice (if yellow does not pan out)
:p I am going Sat (or maybe fri) to get mine. I just hope the yellow is what i expect. (PC pictures never tell the true story). I think as long it does not look like creamed corn i will be OK.

The yellow looks sweet. Not too electric, but it certainly stands out. I opted for the tamer silver. Living in Vegas I wanted a light color and imho silver is such a classic sports car color. I haven't seen a color in the 8 I don't like.

Now honestly, do you care if it has got 238 or 220 or 249 hp? It can still get out of it's own way and it is such a blast to drive. As a matter of fact I think I need some milk and eggs, I'll be back in a couple of hours!

all the people bitching about the HP issue. I bet if u didnt hear anythign about the issue and u got in the car with the current hp of 238 and i told you it was 250 you would believe me. And whys that? cause you cant feel the difference!!!!!!! but anyways screw the HP issue, this car is a BLAST!!!!!!!!!

Another alternative is to resize the image to make it smaller. The Microsoft Paint program has that capability:
> Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint
Load the Image, then click
> Image > Stretch/Skew
Then enter some percent less than 100 into the Horizontal and Vertical entries, press [OK], save the file out, figure out how to get it into the forum.
If you want a very small image, like for an Avatar, that takes a bit of work to get something small that looks reasonable.
