Today's Trip to the Dealer...

My service advisor Sandra, moved from People's Mazda to Courtesy mazda, and most Vegas guys know Courtesy sucks. But they just got bought out and are now called "Magic Mazda."

Well anyways I went to Magic Mazda, and had my oil changed, got the brake TSB (actually printed it out) so I got new front pads under warranty (nearly 16K miles), and they ordered me new headlights (nasty film).

So all in all I'm very pleased. I was expecting to get some bs for the lights but they ordered me new ones no problem...we'll see if they can properly align them when they put them on though.

Anyways, thought I'd let you guys know that getting headlights replaced should be under warranty, and print out your TSB when you go down to have it done. I heard one of the guys on the phone with another 8 owner telling him his front pads needed replacing and that it's gonna cost XXX....I guess he didn't know about the TSB...

Is there a spot I can go on this board to see all of the TSB's for this car?

When they put your new headlights in, tell them REPEATEDLY to make sure they are aligned afterwards. My dealer conveniently forgot.

i went to get the both headlights replaced and found the alignment has problems after driving in the night. brought in next day and they said they could not adjust headlights aiming bcos its auto-level. to figure out where the problems lied, they brought in another brand new 8 and compared the lights of both on the wall. i saw myself my right headlight is aiming way low....they checked and said nothing is wrong with the bulb so they figured it out right side headlight is defective so they ordered me another new one. hope this time will be okay becos its been driving me nuts to see my lights at night.

I checked the TSB and 1) I didn't see a TSB for the headlights, where is it? 2) What happened to the TSB for the brakes. Mine is due for its first oil change and what ever else needs servicing at 5K. Might as well get everything done at once.

Check finishlineperformance for the TSB page. There is no TSB for the headlights, that's all dealer discretion. As for the brakes, there is a TSB for it.

Sorry for the confusion, the TSB I spoke of is for the front brake pads.
