hi guys .. i have a AT 2005 rx8 .. i been driving its for a year now. the top speed in my car is 125 MPH .. some poeple told me that the car goes more than that. !!
i've tried thoustands of times on the highway, but i couldn't reach more than 125 !!
my concern is, is that the noraml top speed, or its just my car's top speed lol ..
by the way, i live in FL, i don't know if that makes any different.

It's a Flordia restriction. Move to Georgia and it increases to 148mph.

 

The AT is electronically limited to 125 mph. The MT is limited to about 150-155 mph by aero drag.

 

The AT's have a speed limiter built in to the cars systems. Thats OK with me. The thing I want to get fixed is the engine RPM limiter!

you want to go fast and bought the auto? doesnt sound like you did your homework...since there is a huge difference between the auto and the mt...although i have never been in an auto...im sure you still have fun lettin it shift for you...lol.....

Easy to pull 125 in 4th gear on an MT - not even hitting near redline!

 

Sometimes on the highway Iam doing 80 mph before I shift out of 3rd gear.

 

you can go over 90 in third gear you know...
