i will tell you why i got an AT .. because i didn't know that there is a huge different between the AT and the MT .. >>>> don't say anything ..
i guess i better install something heavy in my car, so i can reach 125 in few sec's .. lol

I have gone past 200 in 4th in my 6MT. I always keep wondering why they make your american RX-8s so slow. I mean 6 seconds from 0 to 60. Mine manages to hit 100 in the same time, totally stock.

Maybe so...........I just thought we was being an ***. We all know in a MT you can approach 90 or maybe a little over, but that pretty much all you will get out of third. 125 in fourth okay.......but not in third.

You didn't follow the rules of buying a car and/or skipped the research stage.
Instead of spending the money on beefing up the auto, get a manual. Or, don't worry about it.

i did a research, and i knew its slow, but not like that.
anyways, i didn't want MT from from the begining .. but now, i'm kinda want it ..
its confusing .. !

The road is my bigger concern about top speed after 120 they start getting scary. We don't have any nice interstate to speed on.

That is with no one around and a perfectly straight state highway out in the country.

ah, he does know. he was being sarcastic. its quite obvious he does not use mph. another hint is, "american rx-8s." he obviously lives in a different country.

I hear if you take the ECU out and take a screwdriver to a specific part of the bored, it will prevent the speed limiter from sending the correct signal, giving you 50 more hp!

my max was 150 when i was racing with another Evo8 & S2000 the other day ... will try to take a pic of my max speed if i hit it again :D

i got to 153 and my check engine light came on and stayed on until i disconnected the battery, never tried that again, i bet it could have gone to 160 hahaha

135mph. just shifted out of fourth at about 120-125 and a cop flew by on the other side of the freeway. i jus kept goin cuz i was taking the next exit. and 100mph isn't anything on the freeway...but 130 starts to make a difference on the fear factor level. has anyone noticed, going 60mph on the freeway and you feel all kinds of bumps and grooves. but at over 110mph you don't really feel them...or is it that going that fast you're paying so much attention to everything else you don't notice them...hmmmm. anyway...i love the 8 and would never drive an AT, especially in a car that the AT slows it down. i am a FWD/AT HATER. i rag on my buddy hard for buyin a mustang GT AT...atleast he supercharged it. his stang it sweet...but its still an AT.

If you want to drive fast, S.R. 26 is pretty fun too, its not a 4 lane but it is nice smooth wide flat and straight.

I assume you were on the interstate?
