Traded my 04 RX8 for...
a new 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4!
can you say 285hp?
So my birthday was on Nov 8. I went to a local Cars and Coffee event in the morning. I was already feeling the new car itch before that. So I stopped by a few dealers on the way home and ended up taking home my new srt4. here are a few pics from the even that day. mine is the black one on the end. I have some parts for sale, soon to be listed. Also one last shot of the old ride and one new shot of the srt4. color? black of course.

I guess I could have mentioned that in the post. I got a new dog (jack russel named LEWY DOGG, he goes by Lewy or Lew) and he didnt do well in the 8. I had to put blankets down, but his white fur would still get everywhere. now i have a rear cargo area for him to mess up. The 8, to say the least, just became impractical too quick for me as a daily driver.
The 8 was a great car tho and handles better than anything else I have owned or driven.

Interesting...I just sold my '03 SRT-4 to buy my '04 VR 8. I really enjoyed my old 4, but I'm luvin' the 8.
You'll like SRT-4s, they've got tons of torque. I think all SRT-4s come with manual trannys, at least the Neon-based models did. A 5-speed, in the Neons.
I'm also in Jax. I went to one of the RX-8 meets this summer. Where was the car show you have in the pics held?

The dog was not the only reason. Practicality (sp) WAS.
looks a lil like raz's dog.
its got the 6 speed manual. plus tons of features my 8 didnt have.(like a real back seat and luggage room, warranty) BUT im not here to flame the 8's. Flame on the SRT4 if ya want. i dont give a shi7.

I don't think it's that bad guys, I'm sure it's a fun ride. I'd like to see some more pics of it, interior, side shots, wheels, etc... please?
any plans of modding it?

I think you should have looked at Subaru WRX wagons and the MS3 first. The SRT-4's have only shown well in drags and even then you can do better. But in the end it's personal preference and as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters. Heck you could've considered one of the new Mini Cooper S's that are now turbo'd instead of super'd. Just saying if you didn't want to loose all the handling that's all.
