Until the tranny warms up, shifting can be very choppy in this car. Some members report that switching to Red Line or Royal Purple transmission oil has made a difference for them. You might give that a try if the dealer refuses any further help.

Then call Mazda North American Operations at 800-222-5500 and ask them to intercede on your behalf with this dealer or ask them to arrange for service with another dealer.
