Seriously, around the world, we always admire yank engineering and your local market cars. Look at the wonders of the GM World...Corvair, world's most dangerous car!? You have to import a Holden Monaro, rename it change the smooth styling to try Yank styling cues, such as fke air scoops etc. The thing is npw UGLY!

It's amazing that every manufacturer in Europe and Japan has to revise the engineering to suit the Yank market. Why is that? Oh yes I remember.....! Keep your sense of humour!
<yawns> You want to see ugly, take a look at the Ozzy wheels crap. Show me where the fake air scoops are on the GTO, it's far more subtle in the US than it is there, and yes it's a boring uninteresting car. Thanks for sending it over /sarcasm off... at least it has a great engine, I wonder who designed it... I bet it was the aussies How's that for keeping my sense of humor? I've lauging the whole time I've read all your posts, so I think I've done a damn good job.

(Vomits then giggles) Yes I agree with you about the Monaro/GTO it's a typical fat bottomed, heavy, understeering marshmallow. We in OZ are about to replace the wonderful LS1 (GENIII) engine with the so called GENIV because we have had so many recalls in OZ with this fine engineering. The pistons actually slap around after as little as 500miles! Great engine...pigs trotters and other bits!

The scoops go nowhere...have a look at a real scoops on Subaru STi. Even in the US they have those fine cars, don't they?,.... Oh no they had to have a 2.5liter (Note the Yanklish spelling) STi. We can't have them because we actually rally to the International formula and 2.0 liters is the maximum displacement!
I think I've done a better job making you laugh my boy......(I'm really very old) 9100RPM

Oh ye of little humor(Yanklish), you little mechanical embolism you! I explain that one later...Aussie humour....Again giggling and oops vomiting.

IkeWRX..I apologise.... I got carried away.....I hope you accept my apology. It was rude and uncalled for..you win Yanks are the best.

I'll just crawl off into my antipodean cave until we catch up with your technology in the next century, nay millenium. Given, however, Little Johnny Howard's (Prime Minister) propensity for anything Yank we (OZ) may well become the 52nd State of the old USof A. Then we will claim your engineering for ourselves....!

Jeez I T.T.P. well don't I 9100RPM

I highley sugest against putting a turbo in your '8! the RX-7's were doing great until they turboed them and then everyone with turbos blew their engin's because the rotary engine cant handle that kind of power and started to give the rotary engin a bad rap! Think about it! DONT DO IT

OK I not going to do it..IkeWRX has convinced me that we in OZ are unable to turbo charge anything. I have a new plan I'm selling my RX-8 and buying a Subaru WRX Sti. I just drove the latest one with the DCCD and it can now drift with ease. By altering the DCCD the car was just magic...and man those brakes...This was done all very legally at a recent NO SPEED LIMIT DAY at Wakefield Park Race Track. I couldn't match the STi in my puny RX-8. Turbo envy got to me and I now must have one of these brilliant cars. 9100RPM.

Thank you for showing me the way gentlemen, particularly, IkeWRX, Helas., and of course truemagellan.....I'm off to find one of only two STi dealers in the whole of NSW. Have to watch out for Kangaroos, Wombats and Koalas on the hundreds of miles to the dealer...it is so primitive in OZ. (TTP)
9100RPM soon to be called 8000RPM STis only rev to this.

Why bother, I read the article in my magazine and the supercharer only knocked off a half second in the 0-60 test. Evidently though, it did produce more mid range torque.

you are probably some teenager with no money and no prospects in life...discussing cars even though you've never even touched a shift **** before

I don't need to justify my simple visual mods to you...I'm no autox racer...I'm just a guy who loves rotaries and saved up for several years just to afford this car...I'll do whatever the **** I want to do to the car even if it involves something with your GF in the backseat

any moderators want to close this post before I post something that will get me banned again?

Vulgarity!
Spotted in one and yes I am a 56 year old teenager who likes to drive fast cars very quickly. I'm actually building a Westfield with a Hyabusa 1300cc with 6 speed sequential box. I am also one who likes to see how little you yanks have in a sense of humour. That's why we are your allies because you can't take a joke...work that one out?

....and in reality the strakes add 10 mph....! LUV 9100RPM

That's right. Wind tested they actually add 15.9kph (almost 10 mph). THis was adifinitive study undertaken by similar southern gals in Canberra Tech U. Their finding are published on that website. www.canub4real.com enjoy 9100RPM

Fox tails add 20 MPH!

Hey,
Not everyone can afford to buy the best or mod the hell out of everything, some have to preserve the warrenty. Here is a guy that saved to buy a car that he loves and is a GREAT car for the price and you give him chit for that! Get a life moron! I know how true feels and he is 100% right in getting ticked at a-holes that put down the car he loves and has saved for! And for that matter, what is the last great car company OZ has???? or do you just suck japanese and Euopean **** when you claim these things?
