turbo xs catback with stock cat?? help help

hey guys, i had the turbo xs with straight pipe kit, i was told i can reinstall the stock catalytic converter because its too loud and cant pass emeissions

i had it installed today and its leaking...

is it not suppost to fit or is the 3' pipe not gona fit on the 2' pipe???

the round pressure gasket seems similar but might be smaller..


any advice is appreciated i cant drive the car the way it is now so let me know asap

i might have to reinstall the stock exhaust

Well is the gasket from the midpipe to TurboXS catback leaking? I don't understand your issues

the connection between the oem midpipe and the turbo xs caback, the part with the compression springs, and that was my other concern, i never saw if there were compression springs when i had the shop isntall it, but ive seen springs on the pictures on the forums.. is this an issue.. its an '04

Turbo XS connection is 3 inches, Stock is 2.5 inches. I don't know if it is possible to get them to fit but I am pretty sure it isn't a bolt and go affair.

ya turboxs is probably the only one you really could NOT use with the stock cat

buy a exhaust gasket set from fluid motorsports that will stop the leak or jut install the stock back on and take it off after inspection...

Or trade the TurboXS for one of many that will fit the stock cat.

I say try and make it work enought to pass emissions especially if u are planning on taking the stock cat off after anyway!...

i put the stock back in, im selling now on the parts section... might get myself another system or maybe just a midpipe.. who knows
