i also drive with the DSC off. i hate the feeling of total power dropping when i turn onto a cool, slick street. the rear sliding slightly while counter-steering, yea, even into second gear, feels fine and natural to me. i've owned my share of rwd cars with manual transmissions though.....oh yea, and i'm 41 yrs old.

the car i drive in snow is front wheel drive and i am forced to pull the e-brake for fun. (626)

because its related to dsc, i'll ask it here instead of making a new thread. coming down front straight to turn 1 (vir) i hit the brakes and if i get a little wobble, i try to correct it. but i feel like the car is trying to correct at the same time i am, making the matter worse. is this just my newbish driving? or should i be turning dsc off?

if you are on a track...(i think you are beacuse you said turn 1...) then yes, what dsc and tsc do is control the way the car behaves, your rpms, throttle control, and your brakes. it will do whatever it feels necessary to keep the car on the right path. so if you brake and start to loose it, it will catch you and piggy back your mistakes, if that makes sense...

if you are in auto x or on a track i'd advise turning it off so YOU are in control of the car,not the inner computer of the car.
