Two RX8's teased me today...

Forget the GTO. Its only value is off the line go and then its no go with other systems. The RX gives you all around qualities and great handling. So Dec for you? Cool! What model do you want and color? 04 or 05. In Dec you might get a smokin deal on an 04 but make sure its one that has a higher vin codes. Not sure at this point after a year I would want one and go through the M-flash and other call back issues. I would consider an 05 but I am not real positive you will get a good deal. Check with edmunds.com and get competition before you buy. They will take you no matter what deal you get but you want to do the best you can depending on the area you live in.
Good luck

Heres my little story:
I called MazdaUSA, asked them if any dealers in my area were getting in 05 equipped like I wanted. Ten minutes later, the woman came back on the line, said there was one coming in to a dealer ten minutes from my house. Did I "want their number"? Called them, asked if they honored the S-Plan (sales mgr said yes). Told him I wanted it, put 1000 down the next day and when it came in paid for it. No haggling but I did have to pay the ad fee (499). I figure 500 over invoice for the exact car I wanted was a great deal. Also worth 500 not to have to listen/deal/talk to any salespeople.
You will get a great deal on 04's at years end but little selection. If you can swing a little more money an 05 near invoice is a better deal. My opinion
Just some food for thought. Good luck, hope you get one by Christmas.

Are you talking about a 2004 or a 2005 GTO?
I read somewhere that Pontiac did some dramatic changes with the 2005 model and all 2004 buyers are pissed. Changes to the looks.

Note: The 05 GTO (which I can’t afford anyway) comes with a new hood and 400HP 6L V8

Most likely I will have to get a slightly used RX8. My favorite colors are black, silver, dark gray, blue, red, and yellow (no green)…in that order. I would really like a sunroof (I know some people don’t want nor like them but I like that open air feeling).

04, I could not afford a 05…but the changes are a new 6L V8 with 400HP and new hood.
Do you guys/gals think I could get an 04 6spd Sport Package RX8 for $23,500-24,000 “out the door”? I think I’m pushing it a little but I would love to get a new RX8 so I can make sure it was taken car of since its birth. BUT, I think I will just have to get a used one for the price I’m looking for.

PLUS tax/tag/title to get it "out the door". $23500, 24000 might be a tough sell.

Ebay Motors have some:
Ohh yeah, I've been watching eBay and looking at other places like crazy...trying to get a feel for what they are going for. I'm pretty confident that I can get an 8 for my price if it's used...heck, I might be able to get it even cheaper, but not by much.
