Ugh...something sticky in my sunglasses bin

Decided to check out my sunglass bin for the first time today and to my unpleasant surprise I felt some very sticky, glue-like substance inside the bottom middle portion of it. It was very very tacky and stuck to my fingers quite easily. It wouldn't come off or disintegrate with water so I had to rub it off. I tried doing the same for inside the bin but I couldn't rub the stuff off. I tasted it and it wasn't sweet nor did it smell like anything.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be and how to get rid of it?

I can't remember if the inside is felt.

If it's plastic try rubbing alcohol.

The inside of the sunglasses bin is polyurethane right? Mine feels like polyurethane. It's like a black spongey material.

go to the dealership. either that or some one did the nasty in your sunglass bin (probably a disgruntled worker). haha, jus kidding. Well, use rubbing alcohol or an alcohol pad and wipe the inside area.
