Understeered in the rain, some pretty bad damaged on the right side
I'll post pictures up later, I need a lot of advice.
What happened was I was turning a sweeping turn in the rain, and I don't know what I drove over, but my front tires slipped and I ended up going pretty straight. My speed wasn't very high (local road, was going about 25 into the turn) and most of the damage was limited to the right front side. The traction control didn't even flash to notify me of the slip (I'm not sure how the TCS works).
The base damage (and pictures to follow) is the right headlight is pretty much crushed, the right front bumper is bent outwards, the hood is slightly dented inwards, the right wheel broke, and my rear wheel flare is dented in. Can anyone estimate how much this might cost to repair?

I could purchase a new headlight for $400, and probably install it myself... It's the body that's difficult for me.

Sucks to hear dude. I almost lost it a few times this week from the rain. It's been ridiculously slippery from all of the rain.

I had VERY similar damage under very similar circumstances.
I had to replace the following:
Front Headlight
Front Bumper
Foam Crush Piece behind front bumper
Side Marker light
That was the extent of my damage. Everything was fixed and as a courtesy, they repainted my hood.
The final price was $3475.00
Hope this helps.

I'm guessing it's the damn paint or manhole cover that slipped me up, it was a very light slope downhill. I just didn't pay attention for one moment, since I never had trouble in the rain before...

Thanks guys. The car's at the shop now, and it'll be quite a while before I get it back. I've learned quite a lesson driving in the rain.. I've never driven local streets in the rain before (always rains when I'm on a highway or something), so I never experienced this before. Now I know better =\

Sure you could buy the parts and install them yourself, but what about the side panel which is one large piece? You would need to bondo that and then have the car professionally painted. It would be too much work for you to do....let insurance take care of it.

Glad you're okay and that the car was not totaled.
Stay positive bro.
Something like that happed to me years back when I was in this wet curve and all was fine until I drove over a manhole cover which kicked the rear out enough and I spun out into a ditch.

With that kind of damage, i would est. 5G. Plus your suspension might be screwed up, so factor in some kind of parts for that too by the looks of everything. The rear fender looks pretty bad. Basically, I say your whole pass side needs color blending with the extent to the damage there.

Well This was a $3500 fix, so you can pretty much go from there... New Headlight ($350 used from ebay from another 8 that was wrecked) New Fender, New Bumper, New Tie Rod, New Skeleton pieces, New, Fender Liners, Prep& Paint. I have my estimate from this if you want me to be specific. Yours looks a lot worse. I say Part Out and buy a new used 8, Im guessing its gonna be at least a $5k fix.

I didnt say "totalled, I simply said its going to be around $5k to fix when for $10-12k you can buy a new 8. Lets say his 8 is worth (not crashed) $12k+$5k repair cost=$18 Bondo Filled Machine who's body line and gaps are not going to be the same anymore, let alone the car might not run the same. $12k worth 8 and buy another 8 for $10k = $22k and you get an original condition 8 plus another crashed 8 to use for spare parts (tranny, clutch, flywheel, engine, water pump, oil cooler, radiator, cat, windshields, interior, etc. all which are expensive to replace) then to just get a $18k damaged 8....
