A high compression engine that turns high rpm's. So difficult to understand.
It's made to run premium fuel.

Its not high compression. its 10:1. Its simply not low compression.

Go talk to the Chevy guys about high compression. 13:1, my friend, that is high compression.

Actually, Mazsport claimed with tuning that 87 octane provided the best power. Similarly, the RB race flash appears to be running very well on 87 octane from member's dynos.

Old NA rotary race cars reportedly ran as low as 80 octane.

What is optimal from the factory, may or may not be premium. When extracting the most power from these engines is the objective, 87 appears to be correct.
