Invoice vs. Full List

I have the US Dealer Invoice pricing for all packages and some of the options. The sheet shows invoice and list prices. Anyone interested?

Anyone know why there isn't an XM Satellite Radio Option? It is in 60%+ of most all cars from 2003 model year forward. Why not the RX-8?

Well even when Mazda puts in Satellite Radio it will be Sirius not XM. Sirius has contracts with Ford to put the radios in their vehicles so that means Mazda as well.

I for one and hoping they offer something that can add Sirius to (hardwired) so I don't have to use a FM modulator.

XM Satellite radio - monthly fee, bunch of crappy stations
MP3 player - annoying when you are driving, bad sound quality

Thanks for the clarification B-Nez.

you must have superman ears or crappy MP3s then. Especially to hear discrepencies in the audio quality while in a moving vehicle with road/wind noise. I had $10k worth of audio gear in my car and can tell you for a fact that 90% of the time my ears could not tell the difference in a GOOD MP3 vs. a cd. While I was driving, I couldn't tell a difference regardless. I can also tell you that what I had will blow away the Bose in production accuracy.

You want the convenience of carrying around 1 CD with 10 albums stored on it, get an MP3 player. Unless you are superman, or have poor MP3 sources, you'll be more than happy. You take albums you own, encode them to MP3 with LAME and you'll never know the difference, and any differences to be known I'd bet the Bose system is incapable of reproducing anyway.

I notice that the fog lights have 3 colors - blue, clear, and multi-tint (yellow?). As the packages come with the fog lights (clear color I suppose), can you switch to either the blue or multi-tint w/ no extra costs?

i was relieved to see this accessories list thread after just reading the list for the 6 on the mazda site.

one conspicuous omission is the aluminum fuel door. i'd really love to have that. anybody have any insight as to availabliity or are we gonna be stuck importing that? (along with our START BUTTONS! )

>must...have...start button...<

efini 8: i have to side with dreamwarrior on the MP3 quality issue. i'm runnin' sony products in my current ride (no need to flame. i work for them and get a damn nice discount...otherwise i'd be rollin' with the "really big boys" ) i've had no problems with sound quality while driving or idling. it all depends on the initial quality of the MP3 files.

i'll be getting the MP3 player option...especially since i've become accustomed to the ability to play my MP3 disks in the ride.
