For us Tuners

You know I really have my hopes up for the RX8 but what is stopping me is the chance to tune it. You can make the Rx7 do 10's and 11's easy. what about the 8? No one seems confident on the tuning abilitys. Even though it has no turbos yet, and even though rebuild (when one is built) will probably have a 10k+ red line, and the car weights a meer 2700 pds.

And with the torque issue, look at the Honda S2000 it's a torqueless wonder.

So whats your guys opinion on the tuning possibilitys.

My personal opinion... I don't care. If and when I get one the only mods will likely be 17 inch wheels and tires if the base does indeed come with 16's and possibly an exhaust system that is not too loud. For those who want to turn the thing into a drag car I'm sure someone will come out with low compression rotors and a big turbo kit.

As it stands right now, if you want to get a killer bang for the buck drag car get a 2003 Mustang Cobra... low 12's stock, just a pulley, exhaust, and a set of slicks away from low 11's.
