Venting on visor

I am going on my 3rd visor replacement

I know others have had to replace more but it is annoying when you consider what a fine job Mazda has done with rotary. Why can't they make a freakin quality sun visor - thousands of other car makers can do it!

The problem is the internal pivot. That is not going to work.

I'm on my 3rd visor also. The dealer replaced them all Free Of Charge, as this was a "KNOWN ISSUE." He said they were working on a permanent fix, as I didn't want to deal with this once my warranty is up. He told me not to worry; just keep coming back! It has been fine for several months now...

Unless Mazda JUST replaced your visor, you still have the kind that breaks…

Though a number of posts here point to the TSB, seems like a lot of people don't realize that, in February, the visor was redesigned so that the pivot won't break. Yes, Mazda has been replacing visors from day one, but unless your visor was replaced recently, the replacement visor Mazda gave you was the original design they've had from day one—the kind that breaks. To get a visor that won't break, it had to be replaced after February 2.

So please… no more "Mazda replaced my visor 3 times and they all broke" comments.

Same thing happened to me, I moved the visor and then it was dangling by the light wire. It was replaced about 4 months ago, is that the newer one.

I doubt it, the TSB is dated 2/2/07. I guess it's possible that dealers might've started getting the new part before the TSB was issued, but seems unlikely.
